  1. Real Woman of God

Religious CEO’s that are promoting themselves and their own agenda and not our True and Living God. We will not and should not watch anything that will cause our eyes to take focus off of The Most High God. Jesus didn’t even want attention brought to His self during His ministry on earth. He was and is humble. We should exemplify the same attitude. (As well as other attributes of His).

This is just another way that the devil can mock what God has established. When we heard that this show was coming out, I expected nothing less than the pleasing of Satan. I haven’t put a single thought about watching this show because i knew God wasn’t behind it! Why do you think its called “TV Programming”?

….thank you Pastor Craig!…..This is one of the reasons I decided not to fund this kind of foolishness (Ie, disconnected my cable…. the other reason was taking Financial Peace University) Every day I hear something that confirms my decision was a good one. Christians that lack a sense of SIN SHOCK…will continue to watch and be deceived by these people.

For your benefit…seek wisdom in Jeremiah 11 for these men have broken covenant…and it reads:

Again the Lord said to me, l“A conspiracy exists among the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words. They have gone after other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant that I made with their fathers. Therefore, thus says the Lord, Behold, I am bringing disaster upon them that they cannot escape. Though they cry to me, I will not listen to them. Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to whom they make offerings, but they cannot save them in the time of their trouble. For your gods have become as many as your cities, O Judah, and as many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to shame, altars to make offerings to Baal.
“Therefore do not pray for this people, or lift up a cry or prayer on their behalf, for I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their trouble. 1What right has my beloved in my house, when she has done many vile deeds? Can even sacrificial flesh avert your doom? uCan you then exult? 16 The Lord once called you v‘a green olive tree, beautiful with good fruit.’ But with the roar of a great tempest he will set fire to it, and its branches will be consumed. The Lord of hosts, who planted you, has decreed disaster against you, because of the evil that the house of Israel and the house of Judah have done, provoking me to anger by making offerings to Baal.”

I am joining you in the Amens Don!! I started to watch the show because I know Pastor Lewis was dealing with it; after about 10 minutes I shut it off! If God could vomit, He would!!

  4. Tony

this is scary, my church is affiliated with the P.A.W and Bisho Noel Jones and Deddrick Haddon is apart of it. i have haven’t been to a council or convention in 5 years and i will never go again. too much foolishness and and vanity. i love my church but i will never support this organization.

  5. Keith T. Pierce

Awesome! If anyone uses their own understanding in doing or explaining how they live instead of the actual Word of God, it’s flesh. Thanks Minister Lewis. Keep it Up! More wicked and wiser, more wicked and wiser.

  6. Kimberly Burney

Wow, I have not watched this show, I was thinking about watching it at least once. But now after reading the scriptures @gcraig provided I do not want to be involved in causing there reviews to go up. Thank you gcraig for standing and agreement and with praying for those leaders and the lost that are thinking what they are doing okay.

  7. Marlon

*claps hands* great sermon. It’s sad that unbelievers will see this show and think “I knew it, all ministers are fake” or think they can just go church and still live in rebellion. Lord forgive these “ministers”

  8. CT Willis

I am already seeing the backlash from this foolery at work. My co-worker who identifies with the sinful homosexual nature, said this is why I don’t do church and their people. They are just like everyone else, fake and about money.

  9. wanda sewell

I am so glad Pastor Craige spoke on the Pastors Of LA well I watched part of it just to see who and what they were about well if that show aint a hot mess grits aint groceries. The only difference between them and thewold is that hey said Jesus name, everything else the world,no difference at all. I didnot see Christ represented at all isnt that what being a christian supposed to be about .Lord forgive them turn them back if they were every to the true word of God Amen.

I watched this show and was really blown away (not in a good way). I was telling my husband about it and we both were very displeased with it. We are young people, in our 20s, and refuse to be apart of something that they say is for the young people. It was a mess. Deitrick can have a child out of whetlock (while not even divorced yet), but yet still try to maintain the standards of not shacking up (really??). The other old guy has a good female friend for about 15-20 years now and still wants to enjoy living his life. The other guy is a former gangster who still gang bangs by spiritually killing souls, but not naturally or physically killing the people. The other guys stood out also with mess and junk. This is exactly why God said that he would come back for the elect bc a lot of people are turning away from him. Lord keep your remnant of the Saints and I pray that we all have or get the Holy Ghost before you come back.

  11. Min Robert Murrell

God bless you Pastor Lewis for this message. Every church should play this at church or preach a message w
with conviction against this foolishness. You are right that many preachers will and have already compromise. Thank the Lord that he continues to give you the power to preach the truth in this untoward generation of vipers and broods. My prayer is that they pull the plug on this foolishness. God bless you!!!

    1. Jason Sevigny

Amen to that! Sadly, many pastors, preachers elders are not real. They have hidden motives to do what they do. It’s not about holiness, truth, righteousness, and getting the people healed, delivered and set free from the wiles of the devil.

  12. Keith T. Pierce

Thank you Minister Lewis. I truly feel the famine in the land of the True Word of God and True Ministers of God. I will continue to study and depend on the Word of God for my Truth. Deny the Truth long enough and only the Lie seems true. I will not deny God’s Truth and will not become reprobate concerning the Faith that is in Jesus Christ. All that is in the World seems to be so mixed in the Church that is put before the eyes of the World. Scandal after scandal and preacher after preacher falling. Why? The Lust of the Eye, Lust of the Flesh and the Pride of Life (all that is in the World) has been mixed in such a large part of the Body of Christ, if indeed they were truly converted.
Keep teaching and preaching the truth. I’m encouraged and hope others are too, along with eyes being opened. Much Love and Peace

  13. Kiana

Great stuff! Thank You Lord for checking your people and turning us off from the things that turn You off! We perish because of lack of knowledge, so we thank you for your Word and for sending us those who help shed Your light on this dark world!

  14. Landon

I totally agree with you about this show. It will get worse as it spreads to other cities and many more ministers claimer to join this show. Felt needs instead of spiritual needs is what churches are pushing theses days. They target the weak and the poor, who lack spiritual strength, and in most cases, wisdom and knowledge which makes them easily fooled. I do have one problem with what you stated and its not the first time I’ve heard you say it, “no body’s perfect.” Are you referring to sin or something else? To live free from sin is a requirement not a suggestion or choice. Matt 5:48 “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” We are commanded to live free from sin over and over in the Gospel. Maybe I am misunderstanding your meaning behind it and please don’t take it as an attack on your ministry. I for one am an avid listener of you ministry and have shared your videos with many youth and their parents.

    1. G

When Jesus spoke the Greek words that were recorded by Matthew and later translated into English, Jesus used the Greek word teleios (as we write the Greek). Teleios does not mean sinless, or without sin. It means “complete”, or, “mature”, in the sense that something has grown to be what it is intended to be. The Greek word for “sinless” is anamartetos; Jesus did not use anamartetos when He said, “Be ye therefore perfect.” He used the word teleios. These words are completely different, and come from completely differing root words.

This Message have really moved me and caused me to search myself as a young Pastor. I’m only 27 and I pastor a church and many time I see these TV preachers fame and prosperity and I many want to imitate them and begin to pursue these thing. Please Ex Ministries keep me and other young ministers in your prayer. One Love

  16. Judy Milner

Thank You. Be encouraged Pastor G. Craig. You carry a heavy burden bGod has revealed many things to you. Thank you for standing for righteousness & teaching the truth. So many things you have taught are coming to pass. This world & it’s system is demonic. It’s discouraging to see how so many people
Are lost & being seduced. God bless

  17. Judy Milner

In not interested in none of this mess they have on TV. They are either promoting homosexual agenda, violence, sex, self or tearing down the church.

  18. Watching

I have been cooping since Thursday ExMinistires site to see a response and kept refreshing the page for updates lool but on a serious note though, what stood out for me was Detrick Haddan question to McClendon and McClendon response to it “if a church calls you to come minister, will you walk with an entourage? When God anointed you, there was no entourage” and Detrick is right. Now, sinners gonna feel that every Christian whether you are a Pastor or not or really gonna believe now more than ever that we are only about money and this is really sad indeed. It is already bad enough that every Pastor is singing the one song ” Sow Seed and God will Bless you and mixing mix it with the word Believe the Prophets and thou shall prosper” now this? I joined in the end with the Prayer with Pastor Craig because the negative light is shining bright and only Christ Himself will help us through this as we press on in preaching to lost souls before it is too late, We may not have the pulpit but Jesus said “Light your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven” Matt.5, Christians bro and sis, wherever God has placed you, shine your light, you were saved into the kingdom for such a time as this, we see the need that God shown us, let us fulfill that need.

  19. Pastor Donald Parks

I herd about this TV show from my son who have a hard time with the church..so I check it out and I got sick I could not believe this mess I was piss off….I could not believe how these guys were playing the church and it people….it was sad…sad sad

  20. Paula Richards

Bless you Pastor Lewis, continue to speak the truth!! How the Spirit of God must be grieved….truly we are living in the last days.

  21. Allen Phillips

If I’m not mistaken, one of those so called preachers is a ex pimp who did time for white slavery for having prostitutes working for him. Surely God can change wicked ways but perhaps he’s yet another soldier for the devil.

  22. Sam

I feel like now we have to “witness” not just to the unsaved but to the saved too. Supporters of this show may have accepted Jesus, but are still lost in a sense. In 2 Cor. 2:14 it says THE NATURAL MAN RECEIVETH NOT THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD: FOR THEY ARE FOOLISHNESS TO HIM. Why can’t people see how terrible this show is to the body of Christ and sinners alike? Maybe it’s bcuz they’re not truly saved, lack discernment or are carnal Christians. I am heartbroken to see what a great chasm there is among Christians in areas we should agree on. If ppl have friends and family who watch this show and they try to send them this video by Pastor G. Craige or tell them you disagree with it, you may end up getting into a heated debate. I guess that would be the perfect time “shake the dust off your feet”, keep it movin’ and pray that God will help them.

  23. Reece

You ain’t lyin Pastor Lewis! You absolutely hit it on the head with this one…and I’m still SMH! A friend of mine attends Antioch and he, (as I’m sure the rest of the congregation as well) stands behind his pastor 100%. I feel sorry for them is what it is…but as the Word says, LET THE IGNORANT BE IGNORANT.

  24. Rickiya

I thank God for you pastor Lewis because you have truly died to yourself and are a warrior for Christ! you have allowed God to use you in a mighty way without any thought on the backlash of all the hate you recieve when you tell the truth. i thank God for raising up his people and surrounding them with the shield of protection no weapon formed against you shall prosper in the name of Jesus!!!!! When will people get sick of these wicked men who pass themselves off as righteous, I know I am. been sick a long time ago, and refuse to make their ratings any higher than they already will be. I pray for patience because I have so little tolerance for overt wickedness without any hint of remorse, why should the body continue to allow this mess to continue to stand without any opposition. We should not, and anyone who say otherwise need to exam thier own soul salvation.

  25. Kimlevah

I did not watch the show because it’s not real and it’s negative portrayal of pastors.
I truly thank Pastor Craig Lewis and Ex Ministries for being true men of GOD.
Teaching the truth and Pastor Craig is right about looking at there house if your ministering and your home is not in order there you go.
Read 1 Timothy 3:1-16 I read this and thought about this reality show on how you must conduct yourselves if your called.
Thank your Lord Jesus for Ex Ministries

  26. Vera

Thank you brother Craige for sharing your incites to this sad examples of so called leaders of the church! It too grieved me greatly as I so this madness the next day. All I could say is WHY LORD? Why are they doing this, bringing a mockery of your church. But the Holy Spirit reminded me of His word 2 Timothy 3:2-3 AMP “For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane. [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good. I also prayed for these men that they will repent and turn from there wicked ways before it’s too late. Very soon there will be only a remnant of believers and they’d better be ready with the full armor of God on to withstand the fiery darts that’s going to be coming at us as we stand for righteousness and the word of God. Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to use you to tell the TRUTH to those who have and ear to HEAR what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the church!

  27. Lady_of_God

Awesome message Pastor Lewis! I am getting so tired of hearing about these false Christian reality shows. Now pastors are doing any and everything up on the pulpit. God is not going to bless that!!! Again, thank you for this awesome and on time message!! Amen :)

  28. Leelota Lindsay

I knew this was wrong from the start. You have opened my eyes even more to what’s going on here.. i pray this message will go viral..To reach everywhere it is needed.. Thank you for your boldness in speaking out against this,, God bless… I join my prayers with yours…

  29. Thank Daddy for Grace!

Perfect example why we all need Jesus. Think our Daddy in heaven didn’t see this coming. So rejoice and praise him! Because all are saved who receive the savior Jesus Christ!

  30. Tala

I have NOT watched this mess, mainly because of EX ministries forewarning of it several months ago. I’m glad that you address it again now that it has aired. From what I hear they may as well name this “The Bad Boys club of LA”. Is the remnant really surprised at this though? As appalling as it is, the word warns us of these times and these men. Here’s another thought, if this were REALLY going to change people and draw them to Christ and the REAL gospel was coming forth from this show. Why would a Illuminati owned network allow it. THERE WILL BE NO REAL GOSPEL COMING THROUGH THE AIRWAVES OF MAINSTREAM MEDIA!!!!!! That’s a dead giveaway that it won’t be a proper representation of Christ or the church. At least the other mess on t.v. is not using “Christianity” to do satan’s bidding. Although the times are terrible, I pray that God will continue to release the spirit of truth over this nation, so folks don’t get pulled in to this evil ploy. The BEST way to assure that won’t happen is for the REAL church to pray.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face. and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.
America truly needs a healing, just as it is not God’s desire that anyone perish, neither should it be ours. I pray these men repent and turn from their wickedness and break the alliances they’ve made with the enemy. What is the saddest part is all these pastors have congregations with THOUSANDS of members. It grieves my spirit to think that many people could miss heaven while under the impression that they would make it in. As God’s chosen people, we have a duty to pray and warn others. If they don’t listen we have no control, but we MUST warn! God bless.

  31. Nathoneil

I WENT TO THE CITY OF REFUGE EARLIER THIS YEAR AND LEFT. NOEL JONES DOES NOT TAKE THE TIME TO KNOW HIS MEMBERS. NOEL IS AWAY MORE THAN AT THE CHURCH DOING THE WEEK. HE PREACH THEN LEAVE THE CHURCH AFTER THE SERMON IS OVER. HE SPENDS MORE TIME COUSLING CERLABERTIES THAN HIS OWN MEMBERS. ITS HARD TO BELEIVE HE IS DATING A WOMEN FOR 15 YEARS AND NOT HAVING SEX. I HAVE NEVER SEEN HER. I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR 5 YEARS AND SEEN HER

  32. Rashida

I bless God for you, Pastor Lewis and I bless God for your ministry. I knew the show was going to be a hot mess, just like His word said–hypocrisy! The Lord trusts you with His revelations… I just love how you reference Scripture with your teaching. I pray that you continue to stay steadfast in your walk with God and continue pleasing Him. IT’S NOT ABOUT US! People have to humble themselves. Your teaching and preaching is Holy Spirit-led. I glorify God for having someone still standing for righteousness. I can go on and on. Just thank Jesus for you and your ministry. May He continue to bless and protect you and your family like only He can. We win on the end. Again, thank you, man of God.

  33. Jakala

Thanks G. Craig for your truth and for upholding the word of God in a sincere manner. I pray this show gets cancelled I’m so tired of seeing Christianity portrayed in a negative light!!!! Take it down!!!! Spirit of dumb!

  34. michael clarke

Pastor Lewis for keeping it real, the truth about hip hop and all. I see through the spiritual not the natural which satan puts in front of u. to undermind the Kingdom of God from Kulandi excuse my spelling thanx i will continue to support Gods ministry through u AMEN!

  35. Patrick C. Williams

I’m extremely thankful to the Lord for this ministry, Pastor Lewis. I’m increasingly growing distraught over the things I see in ministry these days, but this ministry is a great source of encouragement for me. I’m a minister, and all the mess kinda wears me down a bit, all this distorting of truth for personal enrichment. Keep doing what you’re doing! I’ve got your ministry lifted up in prayer, always. The body of Christ needs you. Also, keep us here lifted up in prayer: Resurrection & Restoration Ministries. We’re out in the streets & in the jails here in Mobile, Al. preaching the truth of the Gospel. May the Lord bless your ministry continually!!!!!!!!

  36. Andria

Once again, G. Craig is on it. I decided to watch online to see for myself, even though I knew it was going to confirm what would happen. Wow, Pastor Lewis, everything I was saying throughout watching this mess, you preached it. I mean from the pride, fake alter call, by the way, no one else was ministered to, and the list goes on. It is soooo sad and that so many people truly don’t want the truth. From the very network it’s on, OWN, because Oprah “OWN’s” these people. I know the word says this would be going on, but to witness this, really grieves my spirit. When I see the parading of foolishness and trying to put God in it truly makes me more sincere to not hurt the Father and challenge “believers” to step it up. Myself included. Thank you so much. I have been listening to you for years and can ensure I can always hear the real word of the Lord from you & those that are along side of you. Thank you for challenging me to be a believer versus “beciever”(deceived beliver). Claiming to ;believe, when actually deceived. All of this mess going on is a hot mess with cheese.

  37. Charity

Thank God for the message. I have been waiting to see a message concerning this foolishness. I am so glad you pointed out how preaching at a young age is not good when they were learning how to act like church folks instead of learning how to live like Christ. I get so sick of people talking about how someone can preach but what is their life outside that pulpit (stage) like. Putting on performances. Looking for fame and validation instead of pointing people to Christ. You know them by their fruit.!!!!! God Bless G Craig and keep on letting God use you to speak the truth!!!

  38. Kevin Irving

May God Bless you for telling the truth. I just recently got delivered from Mcclendon’s ministry. I am grateful for exministries. Please never stop telling the truth. We need it like air and water. We really do.

  39. Daniel

In addition to what was said concerning Preachers of LA, I truly believe that what we are witnessing is the falling away in the church. I believe the apostasy has already begun through this television deal to air “so called” men of God to air out the foolishness of how they operate for Jesus Christ. If the Spirit Of Jezebel is having a field day by coercing pastors into compromising their standing in God for filthy lucre then God will raise up His prophets in these last days to speak truth. This act of hypocrisy has trampled upon the grace of God under foot and we are in the season of judgment and blessings. In conclusion, The cast of the show, Preachers Of LA has decided to make a covenant with the Luciferians who run the entertainment industry while the sheep they have led have now been blindsided by the enemy’s attack of confusion upon the church for he has deceived God’s prophets. God is looking for people to take a stand for Him in these last days. This is a huge attack upon the ministries of God and the church must act immediately in spiritual warfare or we will be held accountable. God bless.

  40. Geneva

Man I love listening to y’all, it makes my heart leap for joy, I stood and prayed, in my living room, and I promise you, the spirit, of The Lord, was here, with me. This program, is the straight up truth, of God, I love it, cause there are no mincing of words, Pastor, says it just like it is, and that is what I long for in ALL, our churches…….I quit watching anything to do with Oprah, many years ago, she fell away. I knew when I first saw the Preachers show advertised, it was not right. G Craige Lewis, I wish I could get every single person, to listen to you, just one time. I find y’all on the internet one night, and thank God, I did, keep on keeping it real, dude, cause so many are playing it fake, may God, bless y’all in a tremendous way……love to everyone,

    Sincerely Geneva:-)))))))

  41. Iris

Even before the actual premiere, I asked my b’study class to participate in watching it as a class project….and every single one of my students could accurately discern what they were seeing….every single one. Says something about those who truly study the Word for themselves and not be led astray by who the scriptures call O Ye Hypocrites. (hypocrites is the old Greek ? term I believe which actually means one who acts or one who plays a part/role, etc…., what we commonly refer to today as “ACTORS”) When folk begin to talk about this show in glowing terms, we are able to rightly divide and expound for them, in hopes that they will look to the Word of God for correct countenance and manner of living and NOT to these “professionals” who get paid.

  42. george harrison

Another, good, truthful presentation by EX-ministries. A month ago I tossed in the garbage some gospel cds including Haddon earlier cds. I went to Oxygen website and yes, this filthy series has upcoming shows. Now, how can any christian in their right mind allow Deitrick Haddon to pastor them. this man needs to be under a Pastor himself. These pastors, wow, need Jesus to be first in their lives

  43. Reginald Isom

I get so angry when I hear about all of the foolishness going on with these supposed Christian “Leaders!” I wonder in my heart if they ever get tired of the lies, glory seeking, and confusion? Lord have Mercy upon your people and make a distinction between the fake and real in this hour Lord!

  44. Nancy Smith

This is the first time I have been here, But I am so glad that others feel the same way I do. Preachers of LA, will truly hurt are believers and non believers. It is truly sad.

  45. Manuel

This show is sickening I started to watch it and had to turn it off. We are in the last days and things will get worse but we must continue to expose this kind of garbage!!!! Keep bringing out the truth for the truth sets us free!

  46. Ariel Calais

Thank you Pastor Lewis for the warning and I thank God for you and EX Ministries. I am a home health aid and have to sit with people who watch game shows that have gotten more perverted than ever before. My heart would hurt when I saw so many so called church folk on Family Feud with Steve Harvey and GSN’s new show coming out called” It takes a church” . . .. but this mess is beyond ridiculous and blasphemous as well. I will definitely be praying for the body of Christ. . . . I thank God that the only way to love God is to know him. . . WE KNOW THE TREE BY THE FRUIT IT BEARS . So the scripture stands true . . 1John 4:4-6 ” Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”

  47. Gillian

Pastor Craig, God bless you and thank you for warning us Months in advance about this apostate tv show. What a shame! No different from the world. The trumpet is about to sound for the true remnant.

  48. Laurie Williams

Pastor Lewis, I didn’t watch the show. I refused to give them my rating.
I had my reasons why. I saw the previews and after I heard others reviews, I didn’t feel like I missed anything.
I hadn’t heard a review like what you’ve just stated. This teaching has added a whole new meaning to the word “scripted”.
To stage and claim to represent Christ, to stage arguments and disagreements about the church and things of God, is PRETTY LOW. When I heard how one Bishop checked another Pastor because of his sinful lifestyle I thought “Yes Lord”; but again to hear you say all scripted, for ratings, greed and fame.
    JUST BYE!
Thank You Holy Spirit for Your guidance in telling me NOT to watch this mess!
Thanks again Pastor Lewis for your teaching!

  49. Lisa J. Johnson

After watching this teacher on yesterday I have decided to never watch any reality show again. I do Thank God for this message yesterday. So many things that were said in this message “Hit Home” whilst I listened yesterday. This reality show is just the straw that broke the camel back. Thank You Pastor Craige for delivering God Holy Word.

  50. Stephanie Burton

This show is truly heartbreaking. I thank God for this ministry that has been a beacon of light in this dark world we’re living in. May God continue to bless you

  51. joette

my heart is so heavy and grieved …….thanks for affirming the Word of God in my heart! I believe the WORD OF GOD with my WHOLE HEART regardless of what or who say different. God bless and protect you!

  52. April

This is the response I put on another post regarding the show & this video.: I watch show & find myself shaking my head at certain things. For instance when Deddrick said that wherever the Man of God is invited to bring the Word is where God is calling him, therefore he should go. Not So. You have to use wisdom & discernment. Also there’s definitely some ego problems on the show. Whew…Big Egos. I also watched the video of G Craige Lewis breaking down how the show is wrong and I found myself shaking my head at a number of things he said. Specifically with child preachers, and why they cannot be child preachers because they’re not old enough to live the Christian life, so they are just acting. God uses who He pleases. He used his Son whom many thought was too young to know anything. Also I disagreed with his statement that viewers of the show are only watching to see the affairs of those on the show so that they (viewers) can justify & validate the way they want to live. I personally watch the show for entertainment. That show does not validate nor dictate the way I live my life. He also spoke how these Ministers were “acting” for the “camera.” Make no mistake about it, we are all “acting” to some degree. For those of us not on a reality TV show, our “camera” is the public. The truth is that we don’t “act” in public, the way we “act” in privacy & comfort of our homes, or with close friends and family.
We have a tendency to only want the “good” to show in pubic. The reality is everything & everyday in the Christian life is not good. The reality is in this Christian life, everything we do or say does not glorify God…but we do anyway. Take for example “gluttony.” Gluttony is a sin…that’s “Bible” but people commit that sin daily. We(I say “we” to include myself) overeat all the time. There is nothing in overeating that “glorifies” God. In fact, “Church Folk” are some of the unhealthiest folk I know. Again in regards to the show, I think G Craige Lewis said himself, “The “antics” you see are what most modern day preachers are about.” So after talking about the show being “fake”, he acknowledges that even without the “show” this is a reality in the ministry. And it is reality, definitely not all ministers but for some this is the life. I think he need to sit back a second and do a “gut check”…he also watched the show. (No disrespect intended but now that’s being real.)

    1. Reginald Isom

April…you make some very interesting comments. I would like to share a few things with you that I pray you will at least consider. You made one statement about the show that you find disturbing (not going everywhere you are called and using discernment) yet you leveled quite a few comments at brother G. Craig for his rebuke of the show. Now mind you…I do not know Brother Craig personally nor have i ever met him. I live in Florida sister. This is not an attempt defend brother Craig as I am sure he can do that all by himself. This is more so to address a pattern I see on so many blogs and Christian circles. Allow me to speak the truth in love to you sister. Whenever you comment about the Kingdom of God, the Church, and the Will of God…it is imperative that you allow the Word of God to speak…and not your opinions or general commentary. What brother Craig said about Children Preaching (that means a little child up before the adults supposedly rightly dividing the Word of Truth) is VERY Scriptural. You said that God used Jesus who many thought was too young. Where is your scripture to validate such a statement. God did NOT use Jesus to Preach to anybody as a child. The bible says that at the age of 12…” And it came to pass, that after three days they found him (Jesus) in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, BOTH HEARING THEM (he was listening to the doctors), AND ASKING THEM QUESTIONS (Jesus was asking them questions) 47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. (Luke 2:46-47) Jesus was 12 years old and was in the room with the chief teachers of the day hearing them and asking them questions…and they were shocked that he understood so much. But did you see God tell Jesus to go forth and start preaching to the people? Even though it appears Jesus was qualified to teach some folks…He was not authorized to do so. Instead…He subjected himself to his parents authority and took some more time to do what any “child” needs to do before trying to preach to anyone: “Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” (Luke 2:52). Jesus did not start preaching until 18 years later at the age of 30. So he was not a young man by an means. He was a seasoned Faithful Man who understood how to submit to authority and wait until the right time before ministering to others. YES…God uses whom He will…and sure a Child can be used to share the Gospel to people one on one or on the streets or wherever (that’s evangelism that we all are commanded to do). But when it comes to preaching and teaching God’s Word to the People of God in a Church setting…God has clearly stated in His Word WHO He wants to occupy that position: 1st Timothy 3 is one of many places where we see that any leader in ministry (that includes Elders and Deacons, etc…) needs to be seasoned before being placed before the People of God to Preach or Teach them anything.

Now as it relates to your “make no mistake” commentary that we are “all acting” Speak for yourself sister. I do not “act” for the public. I am the same way in public as I am in my home. Of course there are private things I do in my home that have no place in the public…such as intimacy with my wife or my old high School football shorts that I wear around the house (can’t wear those out in public…lol) but in terms of all of us “acting” I have no need to. But more importantly…your comparison of all of us “acting” this this pitiful show lacks merit. We are talking about LEADERS OF THE FLOCK OF GOD sister! God places a higher standard on those called to lead. James makes it clear when he said: “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.” (James 3:1) God does not play games when it comes to leaders in the Church. That is why 1st Timothy 3:1-6 is so adamant about the qualifications of an Elder or Leader in the ministry. These “Preachers of LA” bring shame to the Body of Christ in allowing their lives to be cut and edited like that! They bring nothing but shame. You watch if for entertainment April…but your body is not your own. What does your God think about what you are watching for entertainment. You have a single “Bishop” with a girlfriend of 15 years. You have another “Bishop” who says that God told him to leave his wife and marry this other sister in the church…which he did. You have Detrick Haddon who cheated on his wife…had a baby with this other woman…supposedly has her on the show debating on whether or not to live with her before marriage…and you think this is entertainment sister? God is Holy! All the rationalizations and analogies and bringing up other topics such as Gluttony is not going to change that. Yes you are right about Gluttony! But bringing up Gluttony does not negate the fact that this Show is sinful and Ungodly in scope and content and that God has nothing to do with it. The truth of the matter is very few in the church understand what Holiness Is and how serious God is about HIs people Living Separated lives from the world. And the truth of the matter is…no matter how many excuses we make to justify our rebellion…too many saints LOVE THE WORLD and what is in it. And you cannot tell me that Preachers of LA is not of the world. All I see on there is “The Lust of the Flesh, The Lust of The Eye, and the Pride of Life”

In conclusion…I have not watched the show. I thank God G Craig Lewis did watch it. That is a part of his assignment and it is biblical for him to watch it if God led him to.

15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I SAT WHERE THEY SAT, and REMAINED THERE ASTONISHED AMONG THEM seven days. 16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. (Ezekial 3:15-17)

This man of God…this Prophet…sat among the people and all that they did and was astonished and grieved for 7 days. But there was purpose in it. God had given the prophet an assignment. He wanted his watchman to give HIs people warning for Him.

I have sat and watched some clips of the outright Foolishness of shows like Preachers of LA and the other so called “Christian Reality” shows and I have done so with tears falling down my face and a righteous anger burning in my heart. You watch it for entertainment sister…but the Men of God who are called to warn Christ’s sheep have to be subjected to what grieves their heart to the core…so they can warn the people. We share in Christ suffering because He has to watch it too! All of it.

April…I do not know you sister…but I want to encourage you to consider your ideas and thoughts and ensure that they line up with the Word of God. And please do not be prideful or offended by my commentary here. I speak all I speak in love though it may not feel Good. The bottom line is as believers…we belong to God. Our personal Opinions and Philosophies…according to the scriptures…mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! The only thing that matters is the Mind and Heart of God! We are to submit to His mind and heart and His alone.

I can assure you…God is very displeased and angry…with Preachers of Atlanta.

The same can be said for Gluttony…but this thread is not about Gluttony.

      It’s about this foolish show.

      Thank you for listening.

      SHALOM!

      1. Darla

My goodness bro. Reginald, your rebuke and reproof was very well warranted to that sister! I know you may not have wanted to offend her, but the truth of the Word will always cut foolishness. God bless you. Pastor Craige, continue to expose these false teachers!

Amen pastor lewis Matthew 24:24. For there shall arise false Christ and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders insomuch that if it where possible they shall deceive the very elect. Reality is what one can not see.. reality is operating in the super natural. We as teachers are held accountable your God’s sheep……

  54. Pastor T

I am in agreement and I am so happy you prayed and the end. We need to truly intercede for the body of Christ. We need to pay for spiritual eyes to see and the dullness to be removed from the ear gates.

  55. Heartbroken

Thank you for addressing this show. I’m pretty sure the local pastor who didn’t want you speaking on this is my pastor as the congregation got a paper and lecture on the particular preacher on the show that he is friends with. (You probably got the same basic arguments in email as we got that Sunday)

It was confusing to me. Contradictory and upsetting. I wish instead that he had gone to the friend and appealed to him. I felt caught in the middle–like I have to choose between pleasing pastor and standing by what I know to be a judgement of God (not myself). I’m glad I saw your sermon, Pastor Lewis, because its what the Holy Spirit was telling me and much more.

I was told not to listen to people like you because you’re judging what you don’t personally know, but I know you’re only speaking what the Word and the Spirit have already judged. I wanted you to know what an encouragement and strengthener God is using you as especially for those of us currently under authority that is slowly becoming strange to us. Thank you for praying for my pastor and his LA friend that they will both turn away from this. I’m praying too.
