Get A Tattoo Onstage During The Sermon!!

By Steven Kozar |

“Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.” …Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.”

— 1 Corinthians 10:7 & 14

Because nobody can listen to a regular sermon anymore…

tatooSo, let’s think about this for a minute:

The God who created the entire universe from nothing, who was born to a virgin, lived an amazing life full of miracles, teachings and healings, then willingly gave His life on the cross to pay for the sins of all the world, then rose victoriously from the dead… all of that is not good enough to get people’s attention?

But if someone get’s a tattoo onstage during the sermon-that’s gonna make the Gospel message a lot better? If only we would have known this before!

“I didn’t want to repent of my sins, but now that some lady got a tattoo during a sermon, I believe. Plus, it’s easier to pay attention to a sermon while being completely distracted. ”

— Said Nobody Ever

Closing thoughts: If pastors continue this downward spiral, where will it end up? If we say that “people are different nowadays” and “we need a gimmick to get people to church these days” aren’t we just setting ourselves up for even more ridiculous and embarrassing stunts? And if a person comes to church only because they were attracted to the spectacle that made it “new” and “relevant,” what kind of person are we attracting, and why are they really showing up?

  1. That is about the craziest thing. It’s a shame that the church feels that they have to go through something like this just to get someone to attend church. Use to be that a persons life and the power of God working through them would draw people to Him! Now days will all this mess in the church on one takes the church serious anymore!
The power of God was enough now we have a bunch of people playing church with no power to draw anyone! It’s time out for all this playing Jesus is and will come back no matter what the world and others may say! There is coming a time when we all will have to bow before the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS AND CONFESS THAT HE IS LORD! The more we push God out of our lives this is what will continue to happen! I pray that people will wake up!

  2. Compromise!!!…. Jesus said God’s house is supposed to be a house of prayer. Where did that get confused with tattoos and all the other non- Christ lead non- edifying things going on in the church now. Indoctrination!!

  3. Wow. A 30 second video couldn’t have gotten his point across the same? Not that I agree with his point anyway because God marks our spirits not our flesh.

  4. I watched this again and the Pastor does look like he’s “a lil touched” ( like my grandmother used to say)…just ridiculous!!

  5. Ga. 1: 6-7 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not an other; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

Ga. 5: 12 I could wish that those who trouble you would even cut themselves off!

Ga. 5: 16-17 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one
another, so that you do not do this things that you wish.

  6. Gal 1:6 I am surprised that you are being so quickly turned away from him whose word came to you in the grace
    of Christ, to good news of a different sort;
Gal 1:7 Which is not another sort: only there are some who give you trouble, desiring to make changes in the
    good news of Christ.
Gal 5: 12 My desire is that they who give you trouble might even be cut off themselves.
Gal 5:16 But I say, Go on in the Spirit, and you will not come under the rule of the evil desires of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh has desires against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; because these are opposite
the one to the other; so that you may not do the things which you have a mind to do.
