Government Wants to Start Tracking Every Mile You Drive With a Black Box Then Tax You for It

car-humor-funny-joke-road-street-drive-driver-nerd-pi-mileage-speed-meter-600x300A controversial plan being pondered by federal and state officials to generate funding for America’s cash-strapped highway system might soon see motorists being taxed per mile driven.

America’s road planners, according to a Los Angeles Times report, want to introduce a new tax bill that will utilize a little black box placed under the dashboard of vehicles to track the number of miles driven by each motorist then calculate the tax burden based on that usage.

The idea is being heavily pushed by bureaucrats because America’s Highway Trust Fund, financed with taxes paid at the gas pump, is broke accord to the Times.

It’s broke because Americans are buying less gas due to factors like more fuel efficient cars. Politicians also don’t consider it expedient to increase the 20-year-old federal gas tax of 18.4 percent any higher with current gas prices.

“The gas tax is just not sustainable,” Lee Munnich, a transportation policy expert at the University of Minnesota told the Times.

“This really is a must for our nation. It is not a matter of something we might choose to do,” said Hasan Ikhrata, executive director of the Southern California Association of Governments. California is planning to start tracking miles driven by every California motorist by 2025. “There is going to be a change in how we pay these taxes. The technology is there to do it.”

Insanity.take all the taxes that r being wasted on welfare, food stamps, wic, building houses for these freeloading hoes, and pay for new highways and byways.that should be more than enough to fix that problem.

A dumb dumb, lets see how you feel when your place of employment decides they no longer need you and you you become one of those welfare, food stamps, wic, and freeloading hoes. Ignorant people say ignorant things because they only know ignorance.

Oh yes! That’s the answer. Take food out of the mouths of Americans who are already having a hard time trying not to lose jobs they’ve been on for years..DEFINITELY the answer. Thank GOD you’re not President or a Congressman. How about taxing those that make MORE than enough for everyone in the US combined and bringing home our troops once and for all instead of sticking our nose in other peoples business? How about taking care of our OWN for once? Or maybe let’s stop paying professional athletes RIDICULOUS amounts of money to do something that’s not benefiting anyone? No, no….those decisions are way too hard aren’t they, smart guy?

American Imperialism at work. In the past few years I have noticed stories out of Latin America of people protesting American corporations working with the leaders in those countries concerning drilling in the Amazon. Its sad that making money is more important than fixing this country but when you have an agenda this is how it works. Things aren’t going to get any better. These people could care less about the college student driving home to see their parents, the long commutes some people have to do for decent pay because they live in small towns and have to drive to the city for better employment opportunities or that it is cheaper to take a summer vacation on the road in America these days by visiting national parks, summer camps etc. Wake up, get right and get God because this world isn’t getting any better.

How r u going to make things better for people by taking from those that work and give to those who don’t want to work.those professional freeloaders who work lying on their backs.fornication is still sin.laziness is still sin.go out and get a job or else u should along with your offspring starve to death.

We’ve got the same thing happening in South Africa. The government is setting up E-toll and it seems we’re gonna be charge R500(rands) per month. This is rediculous
