South African Pastor Makes Church Members Eat Grass to be Controlled by “the Spirit of God”

By BellaNaija.com

Pastor Daniel, who is the founder and Head Pastor at Rabboni Centre Ministries, situated at Zone 2 Ga-Rankuwa, north of Pretoria, said he was basically trying to prove that humans can be controlled by the spirit and they can eat anything to feed their bodies.

The Pastor successfully convinced his church members to go outside the church and start eating grass, he was even spotted stepping on some members in the church while they all clinged on to each other on the floor both male and female.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————According to a report in African Spotlight, Pastor Daniel Lesego of Rabboni Centre Ministries had his followers eating grass after explaining in a sermon that Jesus had many other disciples other than the 12 listed in the traditional Bible who were doing new things which were considered unconventional at the time as well.

“There were many disciples and you don’t know others. Let God show you as they were deliberately not revealed in the Bible because God wanted someone to do them, new things. Nathanael was a disciple yet there is no book of Nathanael, what about the miracles, signs and wonders, what about how they them who were not mentioned, taught,” said Lesego.

Remember I said when the kingdom comes you will be able to see, hear and understand. They could not welcome or take Him to heart because they could not see. When the Holy Spirit comes you will be able to see. Don’t worry when people criticize you because they cannot see the spirit of truth, they could not welcome or understand. We can cause the people to see, if we live on another – the world will know because they will be able to see the body – we are the body of Christ,” he continued.

“Come and eat so that your eyes may see. Simon Peter said: I am going fishing, this is wrong. He went back to the earthly position where Jesus found him. These are the types of miracles that will cause many to repent because this is the message through miracles, signs and wonders. Jesus did not come in a friendly manner because they were doing what Jesus did not tell them to do,” Lesego explained to his followers.

“Paul says: I carry the death of Christ in me because he ate the body. Here we see the demonstration of John 14:12-14 ‘Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it,'” he added. When I saw the title I wasted no time rushing to read what its all about! I don’t know what to make of this, there’s all kinds of witchcraft here, not just South Africa but Africa in general.

all manner of things is happening and even the very elect are being deceived. There’s a church in Port Harcourt Rivers Nigeria by name Omega Power Ministries(OPM) pastor by Apostle Chibuzor Nwankwo where the pastor claim God told him to use coconut as bread and d water as wine all manner of false doctrine and people are stupidly follwing them God will save us.

I know this pastor. I have seen his tv channel and programmes. I pray that children of God will be filled with the spirit of discernment. These are the last days. There is a lot of diception. Lord Jesus, help us to remain faithful to only you and worship no one else, knowingly or unknowingly.

    Hi

Am South African and just like in all parts of the world there’s this kind of deception happening. Its not an African thing, its a global thing.

      God bless you, Darren!

There are awesome ministries in South Africa that have been a blessing to the Kingdom! And certainly, there are deceitful ministries in many parts of the world too! The U.S. Has more cults now than people realize, but I just want you to know that we know there are good and bad ministries all over.

Blessings in the Kingdom to you and yours, Brother Darren and to EX Ministries!

I’m always praying for the body of Christ that Christians would read the bible and for God to give them the illumination and revelation to know who He is and what God expects of us. I feel sorry for those who are be muslead. This deceitfulness is found throughout the world not just in Africa.

  6. STILLHERE

Woooow..(Mouth open)..this pastor reminds me so much of Jim Jones(and not in a good way). Just think, if he can deceive and brainwash his congregation in to to eating grass in broad daylight, there is no telling what other foolishness, is going on behind the scenes. It can only get worse from here, if the people don’t get to know God and his word for themselves. I know this is a global issue, but I have noticed more often, these type of things tend to happen more in Africa..

    1. Gundii

Behind the scenes they do a lot more… like changing water into wine, laughing apparently because ‘God laughs too’, getting drunk with no alcohol drank, and many more. I live here in South Africa. These things happen right here in the neighbourhood! And I’ve been telling ppeoplenot to be carried into this mess! But hey, many don’t listen.

  7. Nana

Wow! This believable in these last days of deception. The bible warned us. Please, people of God, read the BIBLE FOR YOURSELVES and live a holy life. Those false prophets are everywhere in the world. It is not a question of Africa only. Read the Bible…Read the Bible and again read the Bible.

  8. rachel

Yall havent heard the new revised version…. amd you will know them by how much grass they can eat? Lol..jk… naw seriously this is some real serious Jim Jones stuff. This guy is operating in a majorbspirit of witchcraft and demonic manipulation. The bible say the simple believe everyone. My heart goes out to these folks cause they are intentionally being lead down a dark path of false moves, false prophecies. Study tue Word for yourself and dont let anyone have you going along with such madness… their next stop if they arent already doing Kundalini. If you dont know what it is then check it out.

    1 John 4:1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

    Matthew 7:22
Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

    1. Keith T.

      2 Peter 2:1
(But) there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

      2 Peter 2:18
(For) when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.

    This situation = cult.
Word of faith movement = cult.
    Prosperity preachers = cult.
Mainstream “Christianity” as defined by the movement to take America back for God = cult.
    It’s everywhere.

  11. Ruth

This goes to show, if you don’t know or read the Word for yourself, you will believe other people’s doctrines and opinions. So sad..

  12. Gundii

I’ve been to this church… this is not the worst. Many other things happen behind the scenes. God’s people are fooled into this mess. Money is taken.

Water changes to wine, people get drunk without the need of alcohol, in Church! A person said to be “delivered” of demons will be “delivered” again after a few minutes, and again soon afterwards, and again, and next sunday again. I think he forgets that he proclaimed the person delivered a few minutes ago. Many things remain unpublished, like the “burning bush” he saw in the mountain and took a picture of. Its all a mess!

Magic happens. This is so heartbreaking to me as a South African and Christian.

Many other deceptions happen in America too, you know them, this is not just an African thing.
Please pray for us… South Africa has more of these type of thieves. A lot more are women thieves making more magic and unbiblical things.

I wish I could share his message I heard him preach the day I went to his church. Its a bunch of mess, and to my surprise, some people were ‘blessed’, I was messed.

Sometimes I pray to God saying… Why is this happening? But the answer is already in the Word. Thieves! Wolves in Sheep skin. You see the wooly skin you think its a sheep? No, its a black wolf!

  13. Jesus Is Coming

Smh…Foolishness, its a shame how people are so easily led astray. This is so sad! G. Craig would probably call this the spirit of DUMB.

  14. jo jo 38

Now I get that there were some far out acts that were done by the prophets of old, but because Christ has come and left his Spirit to lead and guide us, we are under a better covenant! Why, believe me I am asking, why would God in this day and age have to present or manifest himself to the point where people are acting like four legged beast? While I was typing this this question I thought of Nebuchadnezzar of Daniels time. He went from being a King to acting like a man who had lost his mind…..More or less I am searching through my mind and praying to God about what is the meaning of this? But bottom line we know that there are many false prophets in the world and they will deceive many and the love of many will wax cold.. With the help of a ministry like EX Ministries we can stay the course and trust they we will continue to understand, grow and be strengthened by the Word of God and those that truly want to spread the gospel..Thanks again EX Ministries, may God continue to guide u and us!!

They World is turning into something else, people eat grasses for what? One time, it was a pastor in Nigeria sending his members to hell by creating hellfire on Earth for them, burning them with fire (ablaze). May God deliver his people!

  16. Simply Maria

To quote Pastor Lewis: spirit of dumb.” And using the name Rabboni for his church. Sad he does not fear The Lord but his congregation fear him!! I pray someone in the congregation will wake up and get the people out of there!!

  17. seshabela Daniel

The more this deception spreads and the deeper it gets, the more I understand John 10. The thief that comes to steal, kill and destroy is not Satan; it’s these lying, false, money hungry pastors who are increasing by the day all over this world, because that’s how the people want it.

    Jeremiah 5: 26-31
For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

    Hosea 4:1, 6-9
Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity. And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.

    1. Jamae

Those are some of the scriprures that describe the sad spiritual condition of these people. Their definitely in need of God’s light. Some of these people may have heard about Jesus through this pastor. But 2 Peter 3:9b let’s us know that God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. That’s God’s perfect will. Although he already knows who will not repent. The members need prayer for repentance and deliverance.

  19. Klaas marota

I think this people never open the Bible. They just go to church. This is a shame to Christianity in South Africa.
I pray that Ex ministry lounge a Church to teach and warns pelople of God about this false doctrine.

  20. Caribbean Christian
