White House Opens First ‘Gender Neutral’ Restroom, Urges Ban on Help for Homosexual Youth

WASHINGTON – The White House opened its first “gender neutral” restroom on Wednesday, the same day that an executive order took effect prohibiting federal contractors from doing business with those that “discriminate” based on sexuality or gender identity.
The restroom is located in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building near the West Wing of the White House.
“The White House allows staff and guests to use restrooms consistent with their gender identity, which is in keeping with the administration’s existing legal guidance on this issue and consistent with what is required by the executive order that took effect [Wednesday] for federal contractors,” spokesman Jeff Tiller told reporters in a prepared statement.
Obama Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett also applauded the move in an op-ed that was published this week in the homosexual publication “The Advocate.”
“The president is determined to lead by example. He has hired more openly LGBT Americans to serve in his administration than any other in history,” she wrote. “And we have closely examined our internal policies on everything from benefits, to restroom access, to how we invite people to events, to ensure that everyone who enters this building feels safe and fully respected.”
On Wednesday evening, Jarrett also issued a statement on behalf of the Obama administration, calling for an end to what is called “conversion therapy” for homosexual youth. The statement was in response to a petition that had been posted on the WhiteHouse.gov website.
“As part of our dedication to protecting America’s youth, this administration supports efforts to ban the use of conversion therapy for minors,” she wrote. “This administration believes that young people should be valued for who they are, no matter what they look like, where they’re from, the gender with which they identify, or who they love.”
Several states, such as New Jersey and California, have banned the practice, including any form of counseling encouraging teens to resist temptation.
But the parents of a New Jersey teenager filed suit against Republican Gov. Chris Christie in 2013, stating that the law violates their constitutional rights to free speech and freedom of religion. They also asserted that the ban violates the 14th Amendment right to equal protection in that it permits counseling to affirm the homosexual lifestyle, but bars counseling to break free from it.
“[The teen] has a sincerely held religious belief and conviction that homosexuality is wrong and immoral, and he wanted to address that value conflict because his unwanted same-sex attractions and gender confusion are contrary to the fundamental religious values that he holds,” the legal challenge outlined.
A similar lawsuit was filed by Liberty Counsel, a Virginia-based Christian legal organization.
“This bill is so broad that parents would be prohibited from seeking help for their son who developed unwanted same-sex attractions after being molested by the likes of Jerry Sandusky,” founder and chairman Mat Staver stated. “Counselors would only be allowed to affirm these unwanted feelings as good and normal. This is absurd and dangerous. This law would inflict serious damage to children, parents, and counselors.”
The Obama administration has been regarded as the most vocal in American history in regard to its support for homosexuality and transgenderism.
As previously reported, in 1778, General George Washington ordered Lieutenant Frederick Gotthold Enslin to be drummed out of the camp for “attempting to commit sodomy” with a male soldier.
His March 14th proclamation stated, “His Excellency, the Commander in Chief, approves the sentence, and with abhorrence and detestation of such infamous crimes, orders Lieut. Enslin to be drummed out of camp tomorrow morning by all the drummers and fifers in the Army never to return; the drummers and fifers to attend on the Grand Parade at guard mounting for that purpose.”
A number of states also passed sodomy laws under their criminal statutes, banning sexual activity between those of the same gender.
